Fair Shares
Set limits on our consumption and redistribute any surplus.
Our Approach
Permaculture
Permaculture is an innovative framework for sustainable living, providing a toolkit of climate-friendly solutions to planning and designing growing spaces, growing food and addressing food waste.
Following natural patterns, we can create cooperative systems that can encompass ethical, ecological and practical methodologies that support community resilience and confidence building, allowing people to innovate, recycle and make the best use of the resources available to them.
The permaculture ethics of fair shares, people care and earth care ensure we remain rooted in our communities, working locally for the benefit of all.
Test and learn
In the development phase of our project we aim to ‘test and pilot’ - trialling ideas and practices, learning what will work for people at a grassroots level and developing a model of what can be scaled up in future to maximise carbon capture.
Open to all
Working with local people to upskill, inspire and support, we aim to embed this approach more widely as a starting point for local people to develop new growing spaces.
Everyone is welcome, and no prior experience or knowledge is needed, just enthusiasm for gardening and creating positive change. By getting involved with local food activities, you’ll be able to grow your green skills as well as make new connections in the community and have some fun.
